Join Us at OMG Village: Exploring Internet Shutdowns and Censorship at Global Gathering 2025

Heading to this week's Global Gathering in Estoril, Portugal? Interested in digging into how Internet shutdowns and censorship are tracked and discovering the tools and open datasets that make this work possible?

Come visit the Open Measurement Gathering (OMG) Village: a collaborative community hub hosted by four leading Internet measurement projects: Measurement Lab (M-Lab), Internet Outage Detection & Analysis (IODA), Censored Planet, and the Open Observatory of Network Interference (OONI).

You’ll find the OMG Village at Booth 17 throughout the Global Gathering, open daily from 1:00–5:30 pm, 8–10 September 2025. We will hosting an interactive space for booths, informal meetups, and deep-dive conversations on censorship measurement. On the final day, participants will also lead their own circle sessions, creating opportunities for peer exchange and collaboration.

So whether you’d like to take part in a circle, suggest and facilitate a discussion, test your knowledge in a round of jeopardy, pick up some swag, or just stop by for a chat, we’d love to see you there!
